Lock Fitting, Repairs, and Replacements
When to call us.
As always, if you have an urgent need for our services, then please call us right away on the number above. We will do all that we can to help you.
There are a great many reasons that people call upon us to change their locks, far too many reasons to list here. Some of the more common reasons include:
Moving into a new home, problems with old or faulty locks, keys lost or stolen, following a break-in or burglary, and sometimes for more personal reasons.
When we arrive we will find it useful if you can tell us whether you require a lock
change because of a fault, if you have lost your keys, or if you simply require
a new lock with different keys.
We never ask awkward or personal questions, but by giving us a brief outline of your needs, we can decide how best to help you, as there may be several options available.
If you have any other needs then please discuss them with us. For instance, if you
require a visit at a specific time, or you would like our visit to be particularly
low-key, then we will do our best to help.
Rest assured, anything that you tell us will be treated in the strictest of confidence.
Often it is possible to carry out the necessary repairs to give an old lock a new lease of life, but sometimes the best solution will be to replace the lock.
We carry a vast range of products so that in the majority of cases we can carry out a replacement then and there.
As tempting as it may be, please resist the urge to try and remove a broken key yourself, as sometimes this can make the problem worse.
We are greatly experienced in broken key removal, so give us a call. We are able to successfully save around 90% of the locks that we encounter with this problem.
Sometimes an underlying fault may be responsible for this occurrence. We will closely inspect the lock/key and advise you if we think that a replacement or adjustment is needed to prevent future problems.
This is usually a non-emergency job for us, but of course, every situation is different.
Generally, the term ‘lock fitting’, applies to situations where we install an entirely new lock from scratch.
Perhaps because of the need to comply with a new insurance policy, or just to increase the overall security of your home or business.
If you have just moved into a new home then this is the perfect time to ensure your home security is in order.
We can fit locks to the vast majority of door types, be they wooden, aluminium, or upvc doors.
Give us a call and we can advise you on the very best product for your needs.
Most new locks will come with two or three keys depending on the type or brand.
If you require additional keys then please do let us know.
We are able to cut keys for most of the locks that we stock, and we should be able to cut them there & then on your premises.
The great part about this is that you can rest assured that any keys that we cut will be guaranteed to work, as we will test them thoroughly.
